I've changed......
I've changed ever since I started accepting and thinking seriously that I'll be living in Singapore for the rest of my life.
After watching MM Lee speak and all our senior statesmen speak, I tend to agree with them.
Singapore is too small, too young, too fragile to have any form of potential risk to our stability. MM Lee said that if you want to comment, you must comment responsibly. There must also be avenues for reply and action for recourse.
That is why we review things. Censor would be a wrong word. We review comments. And some comments we would have to edit because they harm society, cause disharmony and are simply not acceptable.
So for the good of the people and society and also to protect the commenters themselves, this blog will from now on delete comments that are offensive, abusive, and encourage disharmony.
Remember this is Singapore. You are not in Australia, USA or even the UK. We do what we have to do for the good of our young fragile nation.

Yep exactly. I realize now how off track I was in terms of what being a good member of Singapore's society entailed.

Hey uglybaldie, I suggest you go watch the forum with MM Lee.
They asked MM Lee the same questions. he replied. I learned.
I can't sue you because I don't control the courts and neither am I as rich as you are. I'd most certainly lose of course.
But this is my blog and I can choose to delete whatever comments I deem fit. Warning means, I will delete comments that I feel are not in line with what I feel is good for the blog.

I don't think you can afford a $3000 a day court hearing anyway. Plus the talents of the best law firm in Singapore that money can buy.

Anyway I'm not the one who isn't trying to be friendly by the content of what I post.
In the past I may have. But I'm a reformed man now. Just want to have fun, make some friends, keep things amiable and all. But some people want to insult doctors, blast young ingrates etc...hardly harmonious don't you think?
Anyway I'm not here to beat anybody. Frankly I don't want to fight with you at all uglybaldie. You'll most definitely win with the vast monetary resources you have. I have already lost even before any battle has begun and I don't even want a battle. But I'll admit I'd lose. Does that make you happy?
You're also right that nobody really reads this blog anyway. But I do know some of my closest friends and family do read it although they don't post any comments. This blog is for them, NOT people like you uglybaldie. Which is why I suggested you go to Mr Wang's blog instead.

In Singapore nobody controls the courts. Regardless whether you have money or not.
So I don't control the courts. Neither do you uglybaldie. But I'll lost because I can't afford the cost of fighting for justice.
So better to just avoid fights.
I really don't want to debate or "fight" with you. Vulgar language is also not my cup of tea. I remember growing up watching all the vulgarities removed from Hollywood movies. Only recently has it crept back in the cinemas.
Well maybe that's how the next generation will be. Cursing vulgarities and all. But I grew up in a different Singapore. I suppose pre-1965ers will have grown up in a society with lots of vulgarities. Do we want to go back to that?

So let's all be nice good polite civil people. I don't really care if this blog is popular or not. Like I said, it's for my close friends (many are doctors) and family (some are doctors too). As such the content will reflect this from now on.
