God didn't give Adam much choice.....

I was thinking last night while tossing and turning in my state of insomnia....

God didn't really leave Adam with much choice as far as eating the Apple from the Tree of Knowledge.

We all know what happened after he ate the Apple on Eve's urging.

But imagine if he had said "No" to Eve. A pissed wife is not somethign you want to face with either!

Hell hath no fury like woman scorned!

Oinkle Bitter Doc.

Relax and enjoy yourself lah.

What's all this talk about Adam and Eve?

They never existed ok?

Oinkle Bitter Doc.

Better talk about what does exists.

Like hippocratic docs. who ply their trade as a quickie route to instant respect and wealth per the letter from one of you lamenting about quacks abandoning the Hippocratic Oath as fast as you can say "Hippo"!

Hee Hee, Doc. hope you are in a better mood today.

Sigh feeling better.

But I guess reading your constant condemnation of all(generally since you don't specify) doctors day in day out doesn't exactly make my day everyday.

In the end I've decided to sell out. Become the quack the patients want. Or the good doctor some patients want. Can't always be good.

It is a choice but it isn't because I'm an asshole who likes to cheat patients.

So lay off ok uglybaldie? It's getting tiring frankly.

Ok. Ok. Ok. Mate.

Since no one appears to be doing the dirty work, I had to.

"If not me, Who?"

"If not now, When?"

I really don't mind being more ugly than baldie.

Hey, cheer up. Flatfeet is buying us beers and barbecue sting ray when she returns. I hope soon. Dying to meet the both of ya.

Cheer up buddy. Spring is in the air and pretty soon, I'm off to my haven in the country of my ancestors. Heaven, not hell ok.

Hello? We've been having people writing hate mail to the Straits Times daily and you say no one is doing the dirty work?

The Straits Times is already helping with the dirt by printing the letters too.

Where are the letters for lawyers? Stock brokers? Pharmacists? Podiatrists? Physiotherapists? TCM practitioners? Engineers? Architects?

You mean they are all angels ah?

Unclebaldie, i said u are going to buy me stingrays and not vice versa. Tsk* How can you let the girls to give you a treat. shame on you ;p

Uncle Oz: hope you feel much better now. I've got ya point.Who say pods are angels.Think it's just a matter of time only before all health care professionals will have their very own health complain forums as an extra on the newspaper. There was once this auntie who refused to leave after consultation so much so that I actually ALMOST flare up my temper. She was screaming at the clerk's desk and threatened to complain about me.There are no stringent rules about how to treat your patients right lah. I should be more aware that such patients may not be compliance as I've expected.Gee, I shouldn't be talking so much to her in the first place.

Oinkle, writing complaint letters which could be justifiable is "writing hate mail" ? Jeez, you may not know what is hate mail.

"The Straits Times is already helping with the dirt by printing the letters too."

They being a responsible press has the duty to print letters bearing on subjects of public interest and medical services IS public interest.

"Where are the letters for lawyers? Stock brokers? Pharmacists? Podiatrists? Physiotherapists? TCM practitioners? Engineers? Architects?"

There is nothing to complain about so where is the need to write letters? Writing letters take time and gotta use brain cells also. Better spend time doing other more enjoyable things for life is short.

Flatfeet,

I see you are having a break from the nasty old men and ladies of OZ. ;-)

OK doki. My treat alround. Gotta make sure OZ comes too because he sure is an interesting character. Dr. Sigmund Freud would like to meet him too as well as one of my friends working in the IMH.

Hope you come back soon because I am going to Sichuan's Jiu Zhai Gou as it is now coming to springtime.

I have been to lots of stingray places but haven't found one that is the mother of all barbecue stingrays. You got any lobang? Maybe I go and preview the place first with the missus huh?

Just woke up from my afternoon nap. Friggin' good sleep, I tell ya. Before I bring Downer for a walk, just some more unwelcomed comments. Hee Hee.

"why get all worked up over some letters in the ST? like the storm it will soon pass. ignore it and it will go away :)"

It will pass but the profession has taken a knock, for now. If the spate of complaints gets worst, the solid bedrock on which the profession is anchored may be further eroded. You can be damn sure that for every letter of complaint that is published, at least five was rejected for whatever reasons. So the malaise it is facing now is grossly understated.

Yeah, poor thing. I also think she lost her will to live and to fight against the cancer after the death of her "Superman" hubby. Cancer is like that. It's not only the chemo, the surgery and the rad. that is going to save you. You have to want to save yourself too. Smelling the roses is sound advice for OZ. I would like to add "contentment." If you are not contented with your lot in life, you can never be happy with yourself or be a happy person to your family.

agreed, uglybaldie.

be contented....

....godliness with contentment is great gain

I actually like my patients complain about me. ;p That way I can learn. I don't always know what I'm doing wrong, if they don't complain I'll never know and never improve! I told the DAs and receptionists that if someone gives negative feedback about me I want to know but if it's positive they don't have to report to me. ;p

At least in Sg they only complain, here they bring in the whole legal team to sue your pants off. ;p

Yeah good that I didn't go to Oz in the end lah.

Oz sucks.

Yes I know.

Purposeful sour grapes to stop going into depression. At the end of the day it's not personal.

It's adaptive learning to actually like Singapore. Makes life easier to live here don't you think? :)

Cheers!
