Singapore team entry to Winter Olympics?

I was watching the coverage of the Winter Olympics on TV.

There was a strange game where people slid a polished stone on ice into a target. This was a Winter Olympic sport called Curling.

I was thinking, this sort of game can be played by nations like Singapore. And we could get a team into the Winter Olympics too.

Here's some information about Curling.

Anyone keen to explore possibilities of bringing this sport to Singapore?

OZ,

We are a tropical country. Got no snow or frozen lakes to slid the damn stone around.

Besides, training a team to participate in the Olympics for this game would make us a laughing stock in the sporting community. They would ask
whether we have run out of games to make a mark.

Also, no one may be interested. They are more into "curling" their arms around sexy chicks!

Yeah I guess as much.

Actually I wonder why they bother to air the Winter Olympics? I mean what are the ratings like in the end?

Got that many people interested in Winter Sports here meh?

It's kinda sad when you watch the sport on TV, get interested and then know you will never play it in Singapore.

At least for summer sports like beach volleyball, people in Alaska might still watch it because there are sexy babes wearing skimpy bikinis! But winter sports....???

Good question.

But you ask me, I ask who?

These blokes whom I pay $110 to every year is just throwing MY money into the thrash bin.

And have you noticed they keep showing reruns and other assorted imbecilic movies?

In a country like China, they have 40+ free channels with so many programmes that one is never bored.
