Dr Oz bloke needs to change his name.

It's been confirmed.

My application to Oz has been rejected. So I won't be going to Oz.

Guess it's good that I've come to terms with doing the "good" things for patients in Singapore even if they are not the right things.

Thanks for the condolences.

But really that's not the point. The point was that I wanted the experience. Whether it is a blessing in disguise or not I'll never know. I just know that I lost a chance for an experience whether it is good or bad.

We talked about this before right flatfeet? Life is too short.

I'm terribly disappointed and frankly this is the end of my dreams. I'm not going to try anymore. Given up. Getting old. The kids are growing up.

So it's the beginning of the end.

I want to change my name to Bitter Dog.

Bitter Doc. not Bitter Dog.

Sounds better and don't belittle yourself too much huh?

Remember you encouraged me to change my nick from uglybaldie to sexybaldie?

Actually, I'm wondering why you faced such difficulties going down under.

To many, it's a cinch. No big hassle at all. Just another friggin' place greedy for money.

To Flatfeet,

I said it first hor!

Although I'm not depressed, I too want a drink hor, my favourite Jack Daniel on the rocks. Not a tiger. Too tame a drink.

Cheers. And when are you coming back to cheer us?

JY: Thanks dar for the lovely wishes! ;)

Bittergourd face: Face it man, if it's not meant to be going to Oz, it's not meant to be. What you can do now is to work hard, save up the bling and send your kids overseas for university. And again, depending what will they be studying, you may be able to 'push' your kid to apply the PR after work and then followed by getting your kiddos to sponsor you over to Oz.
Well, I've worked my way up towards the application for PR too. The advantage for me is I'm a qualified nurse in SG first and hence, did my nursing and foot degree in OZ.Can you imagine how much bling had my parents spent on me??
To make you feel much better, i've applied twice , not once with my PR application. Apparently they rejected my 1st application because the paper wasn't well done enough. KNN right? I've lost about AUD 2k++.
BTW, if you need a migration agent, let me know. He's a Chartered accountant and registered agent based in Perth. Very easy going M'sian uncle.Very direct and straight forward to the point. I've recommended a couple to him before ;)
Or you can choose to return to Uni and do an accounting degree. They are desperate for accountants here too. hurhur

Uglybaldie: Anytime for cheers. I want BBQ stingray also leh.

Hmmm honestly I think Oz is out of my radar for now.

The PR issue is still very sticking. As you know going to OZ doesn't mean PR for me. It's just working there and then being eligible to take the FRACGP after 1 year. And only then can I try to apply for PR.

Who knows maybe the rules would have changed by then right?

Canada may be a better option since I have already lodged the application in 2003. And if I get the PR in hand, it's a bit different pursuing paths to practise medicine in Canada.

You get what I mean right?

Anyway stay in Singapore also ok lah. I still make good money here right! *wink*
